Ancient times medicine

Hello, healthy foods’ and lifestyles’ lovers!

In previous reviews, I told why we opted for the honey of acacia, what useful and healthy properties it has, what ailments it cures and shared a number of traditional medicine recipes using not only honey but also beeswax every jar of Medusha is made: an eco-friendly gift with a Ukrainian soul. Recently I surfed net and found next three interesting ones with the indication “from ancient sources”, I can’t help but share:

  • vinegar honey (“kislo med”, oxymel simplex). A simple and effective recipe. Cooking of honey syrup: bring spring (or purified) water to a boil and dissolve an equal weight of acacia honey in it. Cook until it acquires the consistency of a syrup, incessantly removing the foam. Add vinegar in an amount equal to half the volume of the resulting syrup and continue to cook over moderate heat until the consistency of liquid honey. “Kislomed” is used to add 15-30 ml to anti-inflammatory mixtures as well as externally for rinsing (100 ml per 200 ml of water);
  • ointment for the treatment of a strangulated hernia. You need belladonna extract and acacia honey in a 1: 4 ratio, mix until smooth and rub into the hernia area every half hour;
  • chronic rheumatism, joint and muscle pain. Mix 30 g of honey with 3.8 ml of purified turpentine oil (turpentine). Take one teaspoon in the morning and evening on an empty stomach, after shaking.

Caution: honey is easy to ferment acetic acid, so it should be taken with caution in some digestive disorders, as it can provoke pain in the lower abdomen.

And according to good tradition, I never tire of reminding that Medusha is not only healthy and tasty food but also an authentic Ukrainian gift that guarantees unforgettable emotions. Buy Ukrainian!
